Understanding the Werewolf Transformation
Unlike weapons that you equip permanently, the Werewolf form is accessed via a Rune (Active Skill). This means it occupies your skill slot, not your weapon slot, allowing you to combine it with any weapon of your choice.
Important: Shadow Scythe Confusion
The Werewolf's V-Skill is a charging attack that looks like a scythe swing. Many players confuse this with the Shadow Scythe weapon. They are NOT the same thing. The Shadow Scythe is a separate Mythic weapon that can be obtained from the Spider Cave or Summoning Center.
Fury Mechanic Explained
The Werewolf transformation uses a unique Fury bar system:
- ✓Fury builds up through active combat - hitting enemies fills the bar
- ✓Transformation ends when Fury depletes - keep fighting to stay transformed
- ✓Fury decays over time when not in combat - no idle transformations
- ✓Higher damage output = faster Fury generation = longer transformation
Optimal Werewolf Build: Assassin Hybrid
The Assassin class is the undisputed best choice for Werewolf builds. Here's why:
Assassin Class Bonuses
This "Triple Crown" of stat multipliers allows for true Hybrid builds. You can wield heavy physical weapons (like Scythes) while utilizing high-damage magical Runes (like Werewolf) without suffering diminishing returns.
